Restoration Corporation Supports Central Brooklyn Workers

Jobs to Build On partner Bedford Stuyvesant Restoration Corporation (BSRC) works to close the gap in family and community wealth for families in Central Brooklyn.

BSRC has fully transitioned to remote operations after the Governor’s Pause Order on March 20th. To engage current and prospective job seekers, BSRC has hosted more than 25 virtual events and webinars on a range of topics including, “Navigating your Finances during COVID,” “Managing your Job Search in a Tight Market,” and “Keeping Dreams Alive during Coronavirus.”

BSRC’s training and educational programs are now conducted via video-conferencing, allowing students to participate virtually. The organization has also kept in touch with its unemployed clients, and those in quarantine, to ensure that they have the support they need to effectively re-enter the workforce once restrictions are lifted. BSRC has also conducted wellness checks and engagement outreach with participants to gauge the general well-being of their families, as well as employment and financial needs.
